NowLaterStarting after the war. Gathering the first now.
A blooming yard beside every home
Neighbours organise. We bring the plan, the plants and the help. Local businesses back it. Leave your details to hear first when we start.

The yard exists. Nobody is in charge of it.
Beside many buildings there is trodden earth, improvised parking and not a single flower. Not because people don't care. The yard simply belongs to no one: the city mostly isn't responsible for it, the building manager only sweeps it, and neighbours don't know where to start. After the war the state will have more urgent work. So the yard is up to us.
How it will work
0101Register your yard
Leave your city and district. We'll write the moment we start.
0202Gather a team
Five neighbours ready to take it on. Everything starts there.
0303The building says yes
Collect your neighbours' signatures and the consent of your owners' association or building manager. We provide template letters and guide each step.
0404Planting day
We bring a ready plan, the plants and a gardener. The whole building turns out for a few hours.
0505Two summers of care
Your team waters on a rota; we come back to check and help. A yard that survives two summers will bloom for years.
This is a plan, not a promise. We will announce the final terms before we start.
What we bring and what we ask
We
- a ready plan for your yard
- plants: flowers, shrubs, trees
- tools for planting day
- a gardener on site
- support for two seasons
You
- a team of five neighbours
- your building's signatures
- a few hours of work
- watering on a rota for two summers
The plants and the plan are paid for by the project and local businesses.
What your yard could become

BeforeAfterMore green
Flowerbeds instead of wasteland.

BeforeAfterPlaces for people
Benches, shade and quiet corners.

BeforeAfterIn harmony with nature
Trees, flowers and safe paths.
Manifesto
Stronger neighbours, a stronger Ukraine.- 01
The yard under our windows is ours. Not the city's, not the housing office's, not 'somebody's'. Ours.
- 02
Nobody is coming to plant it for us. After the war the state will be rebuilding power plants, bridges and homes. The flowers under our windows are up to us.
- 03
It starts with neighbours. One person can plant a flowerbed. A building can change a yard. So first we knock on doors.
- 04
Initiative first, support second. When a building shows it is ready, with signatures and people who will turn up to work, we bring the plan, the plants and the help.
- 05
Local business is a neighbour too. A garden centre, a café, a builder: each can back a yard on its own street.
- 06
Planting takes a day. Care takes years. We count yards still in bloom after two summers, not seedlings handed out.
- 07
Beauty is not a luxury. A green yard is where children play, older people rest, and neighbours finally know each other by name.
- 08
Yard by yard. One building inspires the next. That is how a country turns green.
We start after the war. Until then we are gathering the people who will go first.
Better neighbours, prettier yards.Register your yard
Leave your contact and you'll be the first to hear when we start. We don't ask for addresses: during the war, city and district are enough.
Local business is a neighbour too
A garden centre, a café, a pharmacy, a developer: the yard next to you can become 'yours'. Support it with plants, materials, money or your team's hands. We will show who helped: on a sign in the yard and on this site.
- Sponsor one yard
- Give plants or materials
- Join planting day with your team
It already works in other cities
Sofia
The city supplies plants; residents plant and look after them for three years. 126 projects in 2024.
Rotterdam
More than 2,000 streets, a third of the city, greened by the neighbours themselves.
The Netherlands
Towns compete to replace paving with plants: 328 municipalities in 2025.
Lviv
In 2026 owners' associations received free facade greening if residents planted and cared for it themselves.
Who is behind this
Started by Pavlo Baranchuk from Kharkiv to rebuild and improve Ukraine. The project is in preparation. We are looking for partners among NGOs, cities and businesses.
pbaranchuk@gmail.comQuestions
When does it start?
After the war ends. There is no date yet. We will write to everyone on the list.
What will it cost residents?
The idea: the plan and the plants are paid for by the project and local businesses; you give time and care. We will announce the final terms before we start.
Why don't you ask for an address?
During the war we don't collect exact addresses. City and district are enough. We'll ask for the address when a project is actually scheduled.
What happens to my data?
It is used only to tell you about the start and, occasionally, project news. We don't sell or publish it. You can unsubscribe and have it deleted at any time.
Can we start now?
Yes: get to know your neighbours and agree a flowerbed with your owners' association or building manager. Trees and shrubs may not be planted without approval; that breaks the local improvement rules.
I'm in another country. Can I help?
Yes. Use the partner form or write to pbaranchuk@gmail.com.
